Project Background

Our client, a thriving real estate housing community, has recently undergone a significant rebranding process to better align their identity with their core values and unique offerings in the market. The rebranding involved the development of a new logo, color scheme, and visual identity that reflects the community’s vision and desired perception in the competitive real estate landscape. The client’s existing website, however, still showcases the old branding elements and lacks the updated messaging and visual components that represent the current brand identity.

Objectives

  1. Implementing the new branding elements throughout the website, including the logo, color scheme, and any additional visual elements that have been developed as part of the rebranding process.
  2. Updating the website’s content, messaging, and tone to align with the client’s new brand positioning and value proposition. This may include rewriting and reorganizing existing copy, as well as creating new content to fill any gaps.
  3. Enhancing the website’s overall user experience by focusing on intuitive navigation, responsiveness, and mobile optimization, ensuring that users can easily access and navigate the site from various devices.

My Role in the Project

  1. Collaboration: Work closely with the project team, including content strategists, developers, and stakeholders, to ensure a seamless integration of design, functionality, and content that meets the project objectives.
  2. Visual Design: Develop the visual aspects of the website by incorporating the new branding elements, such as the logo, color scheme, and typography, while adhering to design principles like balance, consistency, hierarchy, and contrast. The designs evoke the desired emotional response from users and support the overall brand messaging.
  3. UI Components and Patterns: Design reusable UI components (buttons, forms, navigation, etc.) and patterns that ensure consistency and usability across the website. This may involve creating a style guide or design system that can be easily referenced by other team members.
  4. Responsive Design: Ensure that the website design is adaptable to various devices, screen sizes, and resolutions, offering a consistent and enjoyable experience for users regardless of the device they are using.
  5. Handoff to Developers: Prepare design assets and documentation that clearly communicate the design intent to the development team, enabling them to accurately implement designs in code. This may include providing style guides, design specifications, and asset exports.

Results & Reflection

  1. The new website’s design and content, reflecting the updated branding, will contribute to a stronger, more consistent, and more memorable brand image, elevating the client’s reputation and positioning in the market.
  2. The optimized website performance, mobile-friendliness, and well-structured content will contribute to improved search engine rankings, driving more organic traffic to the site and increasing brand exposure.
  3. The streamlined and focused content will effectively communicate the client’s value proposition, offerings, and unique selling points, enabling users to quickly grasp the benefits of engaging with the brand and its products or services.
